My last order

So I thought I would just post some pictures of what I got in my last order. Hearts, and lots of them: pork, turkey and lamb hearts. Hearts make a good, relatively inexpensive muscle meat. Here are some pictures I took while I was repackaging thawed hearts:

Turkey hearts come in a waxed box. By the time they thaw the box is pretty bloody. This is a 30 lb box of turkey hearts.

Pork and lamb hearts come in plastic lined boxes so the box doesn't get bloody and is more easily disposed of (I just rinse out the plastic with a hose and some dishwashing liquid and put it in the outside trash can.) This is a 15 lb box of lamb hearts inside a 30 lb box of pork hearts.

This picture shows the range in size of turkey hearts.

This picture shows the size of a typical pork heart.

And this picture shows the size of a typical lamb heart.

The white stuff on the hearts is fat and it is perfectly fine to feed it. I just toss one pork heart in each bowl, two lamb hearts in each bowl, or several turkey hearts in each bowl to make a meal. Easy!
